Download: jbr/pspBrush/image pack | abr (PS CS2)
Experiment time!
I have uploaded lots of photo-ish brushes, and so I went through them and pulled five I like and use the most. I think this set includes brushes from posts as far back as April 2005.
However, I've edited these brushes a bit. Whether you use them as masking brushes or just select-delete the solid black area, they should work a little more cleanly than the older versions.
Edited to add an .abr set (PS CS2) from the lovely

The links were just an "FYI" as to what sets I was going to retire from the download archive. They're still in the journal, but if someone wants them they'll just need to email me for the jbr/image pack.
In all honesty, most of those were earlier brushes and not terribly practical -- or all that goood -- though there's about four brushes from all those sets I'll probably recycle.
Resource making is like icon making, I suppose. You learn as you go and earlier efforts are kinda "meh." ")
In general, do you have any idea where I can find brushes like this in a larger size? They don't look as awesome if you make them bigger! :( I haven't been able to find a Photoshop brush community or anything like that. Just wondering, thanks!
PSP X + has a folder called My PSP Files that is installed into the My Documents area of Windows. Move the extracted .pspBrush files there. If you use PSP 7, move the .jbr file to the brushes folder in the Jasc PSP 7 program folder file.
If you use Photoshop, I haven't a clue since I use PSP.
I suggest you read the HELP file in your graphics program to answer basic questions like this. I think there are also communities on LJ for learning how to use your graphics program, and I have links in my profile to the communities that also provide similar information.
