A set of 11 light beam textures in PNG format for when your icon needs a volumetric spotlight! Probably best copied and pasted as a new Multiply or Screen layer, between 90%-100% opacity. Basic stuff. A few examples:

Bright, shiny day today and so there's light fx stuff, both a brush set and yet another set of light texture bases. The brushes come from older sets, there's 11 in total, and all but four of them have been reworked from the older sets:

I wasn't able to keep up with the comments over the last few days, but I do read them all and appreciate the feedback!

I played around and made these because I was looking for a particular kind of light effect -- swirly glow dots -- and couldn't find it. The end result was pixels, dots, and swirls that do things like this:

Aaaahhhh, gotta take the kid out for his driver's license test. He's nervous. I'm nervous, but my fingers are crossed that he'll be able to drive his girlfriend to the homecoming dance tonight rather than the other way around. ;)

Anyway, light texture bases! Decided not to make brushes out of these since I think most people use them "as is." There's 28 JPG files in total:
